Nature Focused Practices
to support your Menstrual Cycle
I believe that the Earth is our greatest teacher, and provides us with endless opportunities and experiences to remember ourselves. Each suggestion below is a piece that has brought me deeper connection and liberation in my body. A pivotal component in Body Remembrance is connecting with the land. It is an honor to help facilitate these experiences for you, with you, and witness your blossoming relationship with your Womb & the Earth. From gardening, to making herbal remedies, to releasing your blood, to ceremonial bathing, I want you to know that I am here for you! These things might be totally new concepts for you, and I am honored and delighted to help you through it all. When you contact me, be sure to mention if these practices interest you and if you'd like our sessions to focus on one of them.

Create a Garden
Plants are powerful allies in Womb-Work. I have found it profound to be the caretaker for some of the herbs I work with during my cycle. Creating a Garden Sanctuary where you can tend to the plants in an intimate way will be a teacher in and of itself. Create a safe space for you to Bleed on the Earth, surrounded by your plant allies. It will show you surrender, deep listening, patience, connection, and respect. Growing the medicine you work with is incredibly potent.

Herbal Allies
The Earth grows all the Medicine we need. Immerse yourself in Herbal Studies to discover how herbs can lend themselves to your healing practices and Ceremonies. On my blog you will find write ups of herbs I have had personal experience with, always do your own research though. Some great resources on Women's Herbalism include Rosemary Gladstar, Susun Weed, Kiva Rose, Aviva Rom, Sophia Rose, Amber Magnolia Hill, among so many others. Please share with me too any information that has helped you!

Harvesting & Making Medicine
Once you begin exploring herbs for Womb Wellness you might find yourself wanting to harvest what you have grown to make medicine. This is what happened to me and I am so grateful for the Plants that showed me the way! It is a practice of mine to harvest in prayer, offering my voice and blood to the Earth for what she has given me. Even when I make medicine, I infuse it with intention and respect. Making my own herbal medicine has made the herbal products that I work with more potent and meaningful. It makes sharing them more satisfying as well!

Imagine Roots of a Tree
I have had some very difficult moments with my cycle. I have found that trees offer amazing wisdom for us during this time. Take yourself to a Tree you have a bond with. Offer it your prayers & gratitude, maybe even your blood. Sit at the base and close your eyes. Feel the life of this immense being pulsating underneath you. Ground your Womb in that energy. Feel yourself rooting deeply in the Earth and give away all that is no longer serving you. Empty yourself of any fears, anger, sadness, stagnation. Connect with the mycelial web and find what you need. Fill the space with love from the Mother. Cleanse your Womb with the grounding force of your Tree Alley. When you are ready, give your thanks rest.
Flower Bath
Flowers are a plant's fullest expression. An ancient practice to connect you with Earth is the flower bath. This is a cleansing & healing experience to awaken your senses, connect you to your body, and wash your spirit clean. You can infuse rainwater with your choice of flowers, herbs and even stones. This is all about your intention. Allow the flowers to infuse their essence in the water for an hour or so and then have a sister or even just yourself pour the water starting from the head working your way to your feet. Keep your intention at the forefront of your heart.

Free Bleeding
It is liberating to let the Blood flow from between your legs onto the Earth! Give yourself the freedom to free-bleed when you are at home practicing self-care. I like to wear a special red skirt as I bleed and usually sit on a certain towel. It is important to not obstruct the passage of Blood, especially on your heaviest day. Letting the energy pass through you, out of you, and onto the Earth is a practice of elf acceptance and reciprocity. Your Blood contains not only your DNA but important minerals that can aid in the plant's growth.
